Looks great, is quiet and has plenty of space for all the dishes, cups and plates. The wash quality could be better, but with hard water and a tankless water heater you have to do extra to get it to perform reasonably.

Family situation: - We bought this dishwasher in 2019. We are a family of four and use this dishwasher everyday - Cleaning is average; we rinse most grime from the dishes prior to putting in the dishwasher because if we don't, the grime will not come off - in 2021, the pump failed and we had to spend $300 to replace. I wrote GE about this issue and they gave me $150 back for the parts. I still had to pay for the labor. - in 2026, the UI panel failed. I replaced this myself after 6 hours and $100. I can't imagine how much it would have cost to pay a service technician to replace it. - Overall, we are not pleased with this dishwasher considering the original cost of $800.

Buy If You Want Your House Flooded

Have had my washer for a few years and had worked fine until it didn™€™t. Do yourselves a favor and go look up Part #WD19X25700-read the reviews. There is a small rubber angle at the pump the explodes without warning and floods your house. You cannot but this small rubber piece, you need to buy the entire pump. At this time the pump is on back order two months! I asked to have a service call and they wanted to charge me for it even though it™€™s a very known issue, YET there is no recall on it. I have ordered over $20k in appliances from GE and I™€™m done. I am actually waiting for an order for a new rental house, but I am going to cancel.

RUN Screaming for CAFE/GE Brand

worst disaster ever. First unit control board had electrical fire on first day in new home. Company Ferguson reluctantly replaced it weeks later. Second unit has had issues that caused 5 replacement parts. GE doesnt sell the correct door seal 8" too short and just refunded me money. Put old seal back in and it leaks down the edge of the door and wont run unless I tape the door to the counter top to hold it shut tightly. Fridge issues twice and went through 3 GE dryer replacements in first year

Terrible Dishwasher

I™€™m extremely frustrated with the dishwasher I purchased in late 2023. Just 2™€“3 months after installation, it started failing to clean dishes properly. Utensils were left dirty, and I had to rewash items 2™€“3 times. Despite multiple technician visits and 4 months of the dishwasher being out of service, the problem wasn™€™t resolved. Now, after being told the issue was fixed, I'm back to the same problem™€"dirty dishes. To make matters worse, GE is trying to charge me an excessive amount of money for more service calls, and when I reached out to Cafe, I was told there™€™s nothing they can do. This situation is completely unacceptable.

Terrible Quality and poor value

I have GE Profile Appliances in my home. I was advised by a GE Technician to purchase a Cafe appliance instead of spending more money on GE Profile when I can get the same functionality with the cafe appliance. The dishwasher caused many problems since the day of purchase. On May 31, 2025, a technician was called to troubleshoot another issue with the dishwasher and I was informed that two main parts needed to be replaced totaling roughly $600. The dishwasher is a little over two years old. I would not recommend this dishwasher to anyone. It is not worth the cost and doesn™€™t work properly.

This dishwasher was purchased new and already came with manufacturer problems. There is a part at the bottom that diverts water to the spray arms that is faulty. It is made of cheap plastic and does not stay seated. So, after 3.5 hours of washing time, you still have dirty dishes. Everything has to be taken out of the dishwasher on the bottom, the UR PORT DIVERTER WITH DISC AND MAGNET KIT has to be reseated, then you may get another 2 washes, then have to repeat. There is no screw or bolt to hold latch into place, just a flimsy piece of plastic. This is not what you would expect out of a higher end appliance. Oh, you only get a 1 year warranty as well, so, once the plastic completely fails, tough luck! So, no, I do not recommend this dishwasher. Poorly made with a hefty price tag.

Absolutely love this dishwasher! It's the best quality dishwasher we've ever had, no problems with the wheels on the racks falling off or breaking. Have had it for a year and it's also extremely quiet. Sometimes I have to go check to make sure it is running.

The worst quality you can imagine . It™€™s shocking how you can pay premium for such a bad appliances , I bought all of my kitchen remodeling appliances from cafe brand . Every single device has a problem. This dishwasher is really pain in the as-. It accumulates lots of dirt and molds although I clean it non stop.when calling their repairing guy he discovered the water heater not working( no hot water obviously )we changed the part paid for the visit and paid for it as it was just out of warranty. Worked for another few months and now not working again after less than 2 years from purchasing the dishwasher .I will never ever buy any cafe appliance nor recommend it.

Our experience is a sad one. Not quite three years old and it will not complete a cycle. Had a qualified tech to diagnose and order four parts for it and charged big. The parts have been installed and it still won™€™t complete a cycle. New control board, new tuberity switch, new float switch, new water intake valve, and I installed a new water drain pump. It™€™s practically a new machine. Countless hours. It still will not complete a cycle. I would be hard pressed to buy another.

Love this dishwasher. It is easy to use & has plenty of loading space for the usual kitchen items. The top pull out shelf for flat items like container tops, coffee lids, etc comes in handy. Cleans dishes really well and is super quiet, which I love in our open floor plan kitchen/living space. You don™€™t even know it™€™s running! Wash time is a bit long and the dishes don™€™t fully dry even if I run overnight and open in AM. Overall, a great product by Cafe line!

Will never by cafe appliances again

All of my cafe appliances went out within 5 years. The dishwasher was the first to go. It has completely stopped working at this point and before that left dishes greasy. I don™€™t want a maintenance team to come take a look at it because the charge is a couple $100 just to stick some wires in it and runs a diagnostic test. What a waste of money.

We have had our dishwasher for 3 years when we built our house. It does not get the dishes clean. The bottom does not spin correctly and the arms are coming apart. I love the look of the cafe appliances but very disappointed in the product for the price.

I was so excited to own a new cafe dishwasher. My kitchen aide was many yrs old so I thought new would be better. Wrong. First it does not hold as much and the bottom rack does not go in and out smoothly it falls off track. Wish I had left well enough alone until forced to get a new one. Nothing on this dishwasher is as well made as my dinosaur kitchenaide

So frustrating after spending decent money on a product for it to be a dud. We brought the fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher. Hoping the others don™€™t break as well.

The plastic pieces on the racks won™€™t stay secure and even on ultra dry the dishes are wet after the cycle. The Cafe line works no better nor any higher quality than my regular GE that I had in the past that cost only half as much. BIG waste of money.

We purchased the Cafe dishwasher as we had heard good reports, liked the look, the sanitize drying system and how quiet it was. Once installed we were not disappointed. However about 3 weeks ago we noticed that it was not cleaning very well, even after we made sure that the filter was clean. Now it does not heat up the water at all, dry or clean. We have been advised that it probably needs a new heater, may be the control board. I am very disappointed that such a high end dishwasher should fail in just over a year. I expected quality and reliability and I have got neither. If I have buy a new dishwasher it will not be a GE.

We™€™ve had the dishwasher 13 months. The control board has gone out once. Repaired for $470. It appears to have gone out again. Buyer beware. Also: Plates do not fit in the wash area without impacting the cleaning cycle. Bread knives only fit in certain holes in the utensil basket.

Poorly designed. Magnets on diverter disc get clogged up in less than a year. This causes diverter to stop working, which causes spray arms to stop working, which causes dishes to not get cleaned.

Just had this dishwasher installed, and it already has a problem. Display panel lights-up periodically for no reason, then shuts down until its next surprise start. Service has been called and hopefully this will be fixed - a real disappointment for a new high-end unit.

The door leaks on the bottom left. The installer came back and made sure it was level and connected correctly but the door still leaks. I have used the recommended detergent, have not overfilled the spot control additive but it still leaks. Waiting for a repair person to come out and take a look. Not happy

If I could give it zero stars I would. This dishwasher was installed in February and the door never closed properly from the beginning. After a few uses it started dripping water from below the door, leaving a dark stain on our hardwood floor. The installer attempted several repairs that did not work so a GE tech was called in. He replaced the door in June and though it still opened a bit too easy and was a bit too difficult to close, we thought it was OK. Now, in September, the door again pops open on its own and has - once again - left a water stain on our newly repaired floor in the same spot. This is an absolute lemon! Zero stars. I have been a loyal GE Appliance customer for decades but that's over now.

Update to Most expensive and worst dishwasher I have owned. Delivered Nov 22 2022, 1st breakdown diagnosed June 20 2023 , repaired June 30 2023 Pump replaced, 2nd breakdown diagnosed July 8 2023 repaired July 13 2023 diverter valve replaced, 3rd breakdown on Oct 10 2023 IT'S LEAKING! not even a year old. Every time there's a break it takes about a week to have someone come out and diagnose it then at least a week to get parts in. I miss my old Kenmore much quieter, better washed dishes and only broke after 4+ years, also about half the price. New leak detected on August 24 2024 likely requiring mold remediation

Nothing special about this dishwasher. The interior of it is pretty small and does not fit a whole lot of items. It is pretty quiet and does a decent job of cleaning dishes. Not the high-end dishwasher I was expecting.

Needs replaced after 2 years

Dishwasher never really cleaned from the beginning. A GE technician came out and found a jet blocked. After that it worked okay. Still didn™€™t clean as well as our previous GE dishwasher. Now at the 2 year mark it needs replaced. Only ended up working if we ran it every 3 days, not daily. Had the control board replaced. And after a week it stopped working all together. Wishing we never tried to ™€œupgrade™€ our old appliances. Tried to spend more $$$ in hopes of ™€œyou get what you pay for™€. It was not the case here sadly. Now searching for a new dishwasher. I had really trusted the GE name.

Awful product. This is a 300W$ dishwasher with an 1,100$ price tag. We have replaced the wheels (which pop off mid cycle and melt) 6 times.The bottom rack no longer rolls out and we have to manually lift it in and out of the unit. Now, the door sensor is going and I have to hold it closed for 3 minutes in order for it to start without it shutting off.
