I've owned 6 or more dishwashers over the years from the very basic to top-of-the line. My new kitchenaid is by far the best in terms of performance and design. I love the third rack for flat items and the ability to individually load the silver so that it doesn't "spoon" is brilliant. It's quiet and, most importantly, my dishes and glasses always come out sparkling clean.

Very quiet and cleans dishes well, but not perfect

Replaced a broken Bosch and overall we really like this dishwasher. It cleans the dishes well and is super quiet. My issues is that, while the dishes dry, the inside of the dishwasher is extremely wet. This is after it runs overnight, so it's not immediately after use. There's a lot of water on the inside walls and on any flat surface on the racks. The other issue is the top rack is extremely loose. When pulled straight out, it's fine because it's fixed. However, when pushing or pulling it out, it wobbles. I've checked and can't find anything that's loose. It's not related to the rack height adjustment either. For this level of dishwasher, I would've hoped the top rack would be more sturdy. I may contact customer service to see if there are issues with this and/or will stop by a local appliance store to see if their in-store unit also does this. It's a great dishwasher backed by a great brand, I'm just having two issues with it.

We bought the dishwasher about two weeks ago along with a install kit. I did have to buy one additional adapter fitting to hook up the hot water supply to the new hoses in the kit. Otherwise, it was a easy, straight forward install. We ran a trial cleaning session as recommended in the install instructions and then started a full dish washer load. This machine is fantastic! It washes dishes far better than our old machines and they come out fully dry. Over the past two weeks, it has performed perfectly without any issues. My wife loves the top rack for her baking utensils and they even come clean too. Other than a little noise from our sink when the water is draining from the dishwasher, you can not hear it running. That is a real change from our old machine. We are using a recommended drying agent and it appears to be helping remove some of the hard water deposits that had been a problem on our glasses. They are looking new again. Yes, it is an expensive dishwasher - but well worth the investment.

Replaced 25 yr old Maytag that was so noisy you had to leave the room. This machine so quiet you don't know it's running. Biggest complaint is upper rack. Bowls don't load very well. Also, user manual is all screwed up as pages don't follow correctly.

Water still in unit after cycle is completed

This unit came with the new home we just bought. We were told this unit was suppose to be a very good dishwasher so we were excited to see how it performed. Used it three times and we still had water in unit after it finished. never had this with are LG we had in are previous house (unit was 6 years old). Called support and said you need rinse aid (really?) and I shoul drun the dish washer with the sanitize setting. Did that and still had water in unit (unit was not dry in inside). Very disappointed

I bought a new kitchenAid to replace a 12 year old kitchenAid. I took my old one apart several times to clean out the trap. I used vinegar and baking soda to clean the inside but I decided it was time to upgrade and I am so glad I did. This machine is particularly quiet. You barely know it is running. I like the third rack and that the mid rack is adjustable. I could not be happier. It gets a TOP recommendation.

Great dishwasher

This dishwasher came with my house. It has a large capacity, and I love the tray above the top rack, it's convenient for items that might slip through the slots on the other racks. Cleans very well and is quiet

When purchasing the dishwasher I was not aware that will not leave fingerprints. Absolutely love this feature as well as the 3rd rack. More dishes can be loaded in the bottom rack.

Dish are not completely dry.

I am not happy that dishes and inside of tub are not completely dry even when extended dry cycle is used. My dinner plates do not fit very well. This is my 3rd KA dishwasher. I do not like this one. The first 2 were great.

One quiet dishwasher

We just moved into a new house and this dishwasher was installed. It has a lot of good features but the most impressive thing was how quiet it is. You have to be right next to it to hear it working.
