This dishwasher does a very good job of cleaning but boy are the cycles long! I specifically bought a dishwasher with control panel on the front as I don't trust the steam not to damage those on the top of the door. I find all the white lights on the front a bit too bright. I wish they had blue or green lights instead.. It is also a bit unnerving to open the dishwasher and see all the stainless after years of having a white interior. I know they are supposed to be rust free and stronger and it was one of the selling features for my husband. It is also exceptionally quiet compared with those we have had in the past! Overall a decent machine!.

Racks are too small. Hard to load.

It works ok but it is difficult to load dishes as the spacing isn't wide enough. I use corelle ware Doesn't hold as many dishes as my old dishwasher. Takes longer to run a load that is much smaller.

Purchased this to replace another brand dishwasher that only lasted about a year. I had given up hope of finding a quality unit like the ones "back in the day". Took a chance on this one and am so glad I did!! This dishwasher gets all the dishes clean the first time! (With previous dishwasher, I was having to rinse--in some cases, almost pre-washing-- before placing in unit). I also feel that the temperature gets hot enough to really sanitize. I have been using this for about a month now, running at least two loads a day, and I am very pleased with the performance of this dishwasher.

I replaced a Maytag that I loved. The top shelf had room for loads of coffee mugs, wine glasses, both stemmed and regular, and bowls and plastic containers. This one, not so much. I fill the top shelf quickly and have to run the washer more often for those things that only should be washed there. The dryer cycle doesn't dry as well as my older one. Miss it.

We have run two loads so far and it has cleaned dried and cooked on food off of everything without any rinsing at all. Everything is sparkling. It replaced a 20+ yr old Kenmore that used to do that but has needed rinsing and scraping for the last 2 yrs or so and finally just gave up so we wanted a hard food disposer for sure and this one has it. It is very spacious too. More room for silverware and pots and pans. And it is very quiet if that matters to you. I didn't really care about that one way or the other as long as it cleaned without rinsing or prewashing. And it does!

The washer is about a month old and it is everything I hoped it would be. Wife loves it's quietness compared to the old. Quality of the performance is top notch. Load capacity is also much improved over the old. Getting used to the extra time required to run a load wasn't a big issue as the machine is virtually noiseless. Great machine.

This model replaces our previous Maytag machine of about 10-12 years of age. I do like the stainless steel interior. I would suggest an extra basket (which our previous model had) for smaller items like measure spoons, jar lids etc

Cant predict the longevity and reliability of our new Maytag Dishwasher model # MDB4949SHW0, but we've just pass the 3 month mark with ours. The performance has been amazing. Maytag's engineers most certainly passed their exams on this one. This model was made to do ONE job....clean dirty dishes. Dirty goes in, sparkling dishes comes out. Definitely recommend this model. Only improvement recommendation I have is to include 4 white LED inside lights. When not in use, ours just sit over there under the counter waiting for the call.....Semper Fi! All you have to do is read and follow the operating instruction manual to the letter. Use Cascade, the brand they recommend and you will NOT be disappointed. Very quiet!

We recently purchased our new Maytag dishwasher and I installed it a few days ago. My wife ran her first load. We were both super impressed with how quiet it ran and how sparkling clean the dishes were following the cycle. It is a substantial improvement over our previous model dishwasher. Because we have an open living room with the kitchen and while watching Television. the old dishwasher made enough noise that we had to turn up the TV volume to listen to the program. When she ran her first load in the new dishwasher, and while we were watching TV, it didn't dawn on us that the dishwasher was even running. Of course this is not the first Maytag appliance we own. Our other Maytag appliance was also, and continues to operate quite impressively. Thanks Maytag!

We bought the dishwasher two weeks ago to e an 11 year old Whirlpool unit. So far we are very pleased with the extreme quietness and overall performance. The dishes come out of the cycle super clean and very dry. Looking forward to many years of excellent service.

I was devastated when my old dishwasher Died, it owed us nothing, 21 years old and never an issue. Cleaned very well and quiet. It wasn't a Maytag. So I did my homework. Our biggest issue was the noise factor as we have an open concept. this new dishwasher has all my old features at a price that was affordable. But I was so nervous about the noise it was going to make. Had no choice so I went for it. OMG!!! All I can say is that I'm so glad my old dishwasher died! What an outstanding dishwasher! YOU won't be disappointed! Dishes and glass came out sparkling and I give it 90% quiet! Honestly you won't be disappointed.

Cleans the dishes great! My only disappointment is my stainless steel tub had a rust spot when I got it! I had to call the service department because the store I bought it from would not take it back

Breaks down every year

All my appliances are Maytag. When my dishwasher I had for 20 years broke down, I bought a new one. Shortly after year warranty ran out, a sensor broke, less than a year after that the main board broke. It is going to end up costing me as much as a new dishwasher to repair. Thinking I should replace and not with a Maytag. So sad as I have always recommended them and loved them. But when you tell me you will give me a gift card for $75 for my trouble, and it will cost me almost $300 to repair it.. you lost me.

Purchased this new Maytag dishwasher and so far I'm really impressed at the job it does. Dishes come out spotless even when left with heavy food stuff. Haven't tried it with really baked on stuff yet though but will give it whirl. Dishwasher runs surprisingly quiet!. I was expecting it to be louder then it is! It's real easy to use! My only issue thus far is the button control for the appliance. Although you simply have to touch the button lightly for your selection, I've had the machine start up on me simply by leaning up against it. This can be avoided by simply locking out the controls. You just need to remember to do that, especially if you have young kids around. I would recommend this product!

Great Washer

I bought this dishwasher because of the warranty and boy, am I glad I did! It washes a lot better and more quiet than my whirlpool washer did. The stainless steel tub is a wonderful bonus also! With the spoon rack design my silverware comes out gleaming clean! Sounds like an AD but I'm very happy with this machine!
