This washer saves time and money. A load of laundry takes 35 minutes and the clothes are so much lighter because the washer has effectively spun out more water than previous washers. The clothes don't have to stay in the dryer as long.

I had a Maytag that I purchased in 1994 which lasted 28 years. When that failed, I purchased a GE washer that gave me a whopping 2 years of light service before it started grind and squeaking. It couldn't be fixed, so I stopped screwing around and bought the TR7. I love it, it's so quiet that I have to double check at times if it's still running. The GE would many times be off balance with loud banging and substatial movement. At times, it sounded like the front door was being kicked in. Never once had the off balance issue with the TR7. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about it. Sure it cost more, but what is the value of a super quiet machine and more importantly peace of mind worth with a 7 year warranty,

My wife and I purchased our first Speed Queen after being disappointed with other manufacturers and their so called "warranty". My dream washer!

After using an LG washer for >10 years and hating it every time I used it, I have my dream washer. My Speed Queen washer does exactly what I need because it cleans my clothes quickly and quietly without any issues with the cycles. My very first washer was a Speed Queen back in the 70's and since I'm 71 and my new machine should last hopefully 15 years (or at least close to that), it should be the last machine I have to buy! Love this washer.

Bought this W/D sight unseen as a replacement for a 30 YO set...and our space wouldn't accommodate the new oversize units. Also kind of an emergency - with house full of family during the holidays. I was only vaguely familiar with SQ - but happened to see it at next door neighbors and noted it's smaller footprint. 30 months later - after a learning curve for electronic controls/HE - I'm very pleased with the washer! I bought the black and love the look, but it does show dust/lint etc - not the best choice for a laundry room.

What I was trying to say above for the title is if you buy the cheaper units, chances are there will be problems. I chose the warranty pair, but really just by looking at them you could tell they had been made with all the right stuff. Washer does a great job on my clothes!

After our other washing machine quit after only 5 years we purchased this one!! After reading all the reviews and doing some in depth checking on specs, durability and functionality of display board we had our minds made up on this Brand washer. We haven't been disappointed at all !! Although the tub capacity is smaller than others, this will still do alot of laundry!! I would highly recommend this brand washer to anyone looking for reliability and modern up to date operating functions and choices for load amount, light on heavy soiled laundry !!

I have top loaders my entire adult life until 2020 when I moved and tried front-loaders. Hated them! I am so pleased with my Speed Queens a by far the best I've owned. Very quiet (for a washer) spin is still spin, but the soak feature is the absolute best. We live in a farm and my husband is always covered in mud and other nasty stuff. I'm able to soak his clothes overnight - literally did 11hrs first run, and his clothes which have been dingy from the front loaders for years now look almost new! Best decision hands down on buying these. If you do a lot of laundry or have anyone hard on their clothes, look no further - these are simply the best!

After using the washer for two weeks, the lid lock failed with a load of laundry in it. Took six days to get a service man out there to find out that the plug that connected the switch for the lid lock had vibrated loose. The unit functions well although I'm waiting for something else to break because of that Early failure. I'm not sure about their design as far as wiring, harness and quality control.

We live in a condo - the laundry closet in across the hall from our bedroom. We replaced our 20-year old GE washer and dryer - which did a great job - with the Speed Queen TR7 washer and DR7 dryer. Not only do they do an excellent job with the laundry, they are incredibly quiet - we hear almost no noise at all. A very happy purchase and definitely worth the price.

I should have listened to the bulk of the reviews with this one and gone with the regular agitator and not this one that "pushes the water through the clothes" to get them clean. The only thing I can say I like about this machine is the quietness, the steel drum, and the hand wash v/s delicates features. Otherwise, I truly only use the heavy duty cycle because that is the only cycle that gets my clothes even a little clean. I am using the same detergent that I used with my front load (except I picked up the non-HE version hoping that would help get the clothes cleaner since this fills all the way up). I dislike the touch screen buttons, I dislike the fact that I have to close the lid for the water to run for it to fill, I hate the lock on the lid, I extremely dislike how unclean some of my clothes seem to come out. I wish 100 times over that I would have just gotten the other version with the true agitator, especially for the price and for how long I will have to own this machine to make it feel like I've been a good enough steward of my money that I can get a different machine.

After owning both front loaders and HE top loaders that disappointed with long cycle times and out of balance loads.... I finally have the answer to my washing woes. This TR7 has been a wonderful washing machine! The most important issue for me was finding a suspension system that was substantial enough not to get out of balance, vibrate and/or try to rebalance for over an hour. (And I always kept my past machines level and did not overload them.) Yes, for me it does use more water and has added about 10 mins average drying time to my loads compared to a past front loader, but a small price to pay in my book. I wish I had purchased a Speed Queen earlier!

Purchased in March 2024, broke down April 2025. Despite the fact that the washer doesn't clean well, and I'm anticipating the day the dryer stops working, the saying buy once cry once is a thing of the past. They don't make things to last like they used to. It will be 2 weeks Monday since I have not had a washer and the sad thing is my old 17 year Maytag that I gave away is still going. I'm happy to have a warranty but I didnt think I would need to use it this soon. Don't waste your money on the expensive commercial speed queen products, they aren't worth it.

Finally! Clean clothes again

Was my old washer broken? No. It came with a house we bought. The issue was that it had an automatic water level sensor and I had to wash the same clothes over and over because of soap lines due to low water levels. It was getting ridiculous. What kind of savings is an Econ water sensor if your clothing never gets clean? I walked into the appliance store and asked one question. What top loader washing machine lets you choose your own water level? The answer: Speed Queen. From that point, it was choosing the model. I went with the elechronic one because of warranty and features. It is an absolute dream to use!! No more soap lines!! Clothing that is actually being washed in enough water to get clean. And I can once again soak clothing like whites or heavily soiled items. I never intended to spend this much money on a new washer but I'm glad I did. And with an expected life of 25 years, at my age, this machine will probably outlast me!!

I just love everything about this washer. It has a large variety of settings, has a shorter wash cycle than my previous washers, and items come out dryer after final spin cycle. Plus, the items aren't all tied in knots when I remove them from washer.
