I had to buy a new washer after 25 years, I did a lot of research. I called appliance services, and asked what was the best brand of washer & dryer. It was always Speed Queen. I love that it is made in USA! The steel drum, motor and wash features were important to me. I can choose an autofill or I can choose full load of water! I also appreciate, the delay lid lock! It never fails, that I need to add a sock. I am very happy with my Speed Queen washer!

The machine is solidly built with all the options anyone could hope for. It is easy to use and washes the clothes efficiently and thoroughly. You stand behind the washer with a 7-year warranty. First time speed queen buyer. So far so good. Seems a little louder than previous GE I've had, especially with bigger loads. I am watching this closely as it seems to make a loud clicking noise on the final spin cycle.

After years of battling it out with a Samsung that never seemed to get enough water into my laundry I bit the bullet and bought my speed queen. Best decision I ever made! I get it….you can walk into a big box store and take home a washer dryer set for the cost of 1 speed queen appliance and we all work hard for our money. With that in mind I reverted to the buy once cry once philosophy so yes it did sting the wallet but once I got home and installed it I'm pretty sure I won't cry about the cost for several years because it's already exceeded my expectations. Take clothes cleaned by your previous brand mine was a top loader that used a computer to control the water height then run them through your speed queen either on auto fill or top off the drum, look at the water through the wash cycle then you'll understand. Between soap being left in your clothes to not enough water to get them clean it will be evident in the wash water.

very quiet and doesn't get out of balance easily

The machine is very quiet and washes well. however, it leaves fabric softener in the bottom of the tub after a wash if you use the "normal eco" cycle. Surely there is a way to remedy that, other than just adding lots of water in the softener dispenser.

A little disappointed

My expectations were high given the reviews and info I've received from others but I've had issues with the fact that there is no soap dispenser. You have to put the soap in, start the cycle, then add your clothes or else you end up with blue soap stains on everything. It's a real pain in the rear to have to add a couple more steps to every laundry cycle.

This was recommended to me by a repairman. It costs quite a bit more than the machine I had which went out in under 5 years of use in a home with only 2 people. BUT, it's worth every penny to have this quality product that's made in America. It is leaps & bounds better than my prior "smart" machine that gave me much grief. It is so quiet that once it fills, you don't hear it at all! I am very happy with this purchase & highly recommend Speed Queen!

I have only been using my new washer for a few weeks but I can tell my clothes are cleaner than they were in my Maytag. The Maytag is only 3 years old but the clothes never got covered with water. The Speed Queen has different water levels and different soil levels to get to get my clothes clean the first time. The Speed Queen is quiet and has self leveling legs! I do think it was a little high but made in the USA means a lot to me and it really works well.

This washer has ruined sheets, pillowcases, and now my drapes! Even on a delicate cycle. It puts pulls in the fabric. Very upsetting and disappointing especially for the price I paid.

Like my dryer review, I've probably has every make of washers and dryers. Speed Queen really lives up to their reputation. My clothes come out clean and smell great! I'm sure the materials used to manufacture it has a lot to do with it. I appreciate the construction and how the tub is set a little higher, making it easier to remove wet clothes. I thought the tub capacity would be an issue but it's not. The wash and dry cycles are faster that my previous HE models and the clothes come out better. Best warranty too!

Dear Sirs, Our 22 year old washer/dryer pair were fading and we were delighted to discover that the laundromat manufacturer of durable machines, Speedqueen, also offered residential models. We purchased the matching TR7 and DR7 washer/dryer. We purchased these machines for the durability but didn't spend very much time on their controls, which are phenomenal. The water level sensor on the washer and the moisture sensor on the dryer eliminate having to guess at settings for every load, which will no doubt translate to many saved dollars. The special cycles on the washer incorporate various soak/rinse functions which involve a single button. The 7 year in home warranty tells us that with that much confidence in these machines, we can likely expect to use them trouble free for decades. Thank you.

It was so bad with my old washer that it was constantly making water hammer noise. Thankfully, the Speed Queen washer doesn't do that. Finally, my clothes are clean - just like we wanted.

Laundromat quality at home

After our last washing machine went out after only 3.5yrs from a power surge we decided to make the switch. The less electronics and extra large tub are great upgrades. This was my first speed Queen purchase. I had heard only good reviews about this company. My first impression was great. From first use, I found it to be easy to use and very quiet. I also love the look of this model. It doesn't lid lock until it fill up with the needed water to wet the clothes so you have plenty of time to add an item if need be.

I've had my washer about a month and it's been great. It's fast and through when it needs to be, but handled wools and cashmere with kid gloves. I switched from a LG front loader, and never once have I regretted it. It's not quiet, but it's not noisy, either. The warranty gives me a lot of peace of mind.

I love shopping local when I can and Redder's Showcase in Burley Id had lots of knowledge, lots of options to compare with other brands, and can provide value. It is a pleasure doing business with them. As for the machines themselves. I have never had a Washer so stable. Very impressed. I have a filtration system on the drain (because we are on a septic system) The rinse water is so much cleaner than before. It tells me that the clothes are getting cleaner in the wash cycle. As for the dryer we are enjoying the steam refresh feature which I did not think we needed.
