A bit disappointed

Failed within 72 hours, had to wait 6 days for a control board to be replaced. Research online appears to show that these boards have a known issue with relays for years. Hopefully my top of the line washer issue is not a trend - I was broken 2x longer that it was working before repair. Has been good since.

Buy a Speed Queen.... Here are my initial thoughts on the Speed Queen washer TR7 I bought. It's quite but maybe not 44 dB. I like the black color but the somewhat ruff texture is hard to clean. It cost a lot at $1700, that's more than I paid 8 years ago for the Whirlpool Cabrio 5.3 Cu Ft washer - dryer combo. The TR7 is also smaller and can't wash a king size bed comforter, a queen size barely fits. But it's a Speed Queen and it should last 20 years.... The Whirlpool Cabrio washer was a disaster. Four major repairs after one year of service. I did the repairs so they were not that expense, but what a piece of dung! The main electrical board went out, the fill valves went out, the drive spline went out twice. Talk about Value Engineered... Why can't companies stick with a design that works and not reduce costs on that item by reducing weight, metal, adding cheap overseas parts etc. I'm hoping that this is why I bought a Speed Queen, to last 20 years like they did when I was younger. I plan to buy the dryer but I'm waiting onthe Cabrio to fail...

Our TR7 barely lasted after the 7 year warranty. The lid is rusty, it's so loud, and our clothes never came out clean. Worst appliance purchase ever.

Thank goodness for the warranty. 5 years in our unit needed extensive repairs. Came highly recommended by the store we bought it from as well as a repair tech for durability. Didn't work out for us.

The several weeks I have used this machine have been a pleasure. I appreciate that auto-fill actually puts sufficient water in my load!! Have been very pleased with the performance of this washer! Originally, I was concerned tub size may be an issue. So far it has not. Also am impressed that different cycles agitate differently to compensate load types.

This is the best machine by far, hands down! Runs super quite, doesn't move an inch when spinning, and clothes come out super clean! Always leaves spots on clothes. Even after using extra rinse we sometimes have to rinse again. Usually leaves detergent and fabric softener in bottom of washer. I always use the correct amount of products and usually less than recommended. This washer has been a huge disappointment and will never buy Speed Queen again.

Im hoping this will be my last washer. Its definately very reliable and quiet. No dancing across the floor on spin cycle. All my clothes are actually washed.when the cycle is done. The Fabrice softener is still staining my clothes though. All in all. Worth the money.

The machine is well designed and operable. I am rather disappointed that the spin cycles are not very vigorous, and the clothes are rather wet when finished. I appears reliable. I wish I could enhance the final spin to my liking. I am further disappointed that the main wash is "eco wash." It does have some bells and whistles, that allow me to adjust the time of wash and temp. There are several special cycles that really don't apply to me.

I love the agitator! I've been without one for years (previous 2 washers were front load and top load w/o an agitator) and I don't think those cleaned as well as they should. I do miss the larger capacity, and it takes a little getting used to. So far so good!

This washer is great, I remember when I was young my family purchased speed queen washer and dryer. we were a family of 12, dad, mom, and 10 kids. I can't remember them ever breaking down. This washer has a lot to live up to and so far I see it lasting a good long time. It is very easy to use. I also like how many selections you have for the loads. I would definitely suggest it to family and friends.

It cleans wash very well however, the spin cycle does not ring enough water out of the clothes leaving the user with several runs through the dryer which is hard on fabrics. I asked the company where I purchased if there was an adjustment to the spin cycle & they were clueless.

Overall I like the machine, except I had an issue with water flow right from installation. Now waiting for replacement parts, see if it will fix the issue. Also, don't like that you can have the lid closed when you adding cloths and want to see what is going on. I miss this feature on my old machine

I had to replace my much loved and cherished 36 year old Direct Drive top load washer. I knew that nothing on the market besides Speed Queen would work the same, be built to last and offer years of trouble free washing. I was afraid the TR7 would not clean as well at TC5, but it does! It is gentle, whisper quiet and even using Auto Fill....everything is saturated and the results are awesome. Speed Queen is the perfect combo of old school meets modern features. I love that if I want or need, I can add a deep fill...but I am so far happy with Auto Fill. Spin speed is fast, but quiet, and everything in turn is drying faster now. 7 year warranty too. Incredible.

The first washing machine that was delivered had errors right out of the box, that is why I only gave 4 stars. The second machine they brought and installed is great, I would recommend over all other brands. The tub is smaller than other brands but it hasn't been a problem. The machine is the quietest machine I have ever owned.

I was very unhappy with the Maytag washer I purchased three years ago. It was not meant for my smaller loads and ALWAYS left suds behind. My daughter needed to replace her washer so I passed the Maytag along to her. My other daughter put me on to Speed Queen. I like that I can select the specifics of each load ....water level, soil level, temperature, delayed start etc. It does a great job on my smaller loads in a short amount of time with no suds left behind. The small independent appliance store I bought it from was an added bonus with no delivery, set up or hauling away charges and they do their own repairs.

We needed all new appliances after a remodel. When shopping for a washer/dryer, the Salesman immediately brought me to what he thought I'd like because everyone else prefers the big, shiny front-loading machines, with the most advertised brand names. However, I don't care about all that newfangled stuff. I want quality: a washing machine with a center agitator that thoroughly washes and rinses my clothes, and a dryer that requires only one cycle to dry my clothes. Once my salesman realized I couldn't be swayed to buy the most advertised machines, he showed me the washer/dryer that he owns: Speed Queen. Thank goodness he did, we are SO HAPPY with our washer and dryer. An Appliance Tech was sent to our house because our brand-new microwave needed attention. He came in through our laundry room and immediately said, "Hey, I have that same washer and dryer." If the people who know about sales and repair actually own Speed Queen, then I'm confident that we'll be happy with our purchase even after years have passed. Thank you, Speed Queen!

I hate this machine. It was horrible purchase and I deeply regret it. The "perfect wash" is a perfect joke. It waves the clothes around in the water instead of actually agitating them. You have to add exta everything to get the clothes clean, extra time, extra rinse, heavy duty, soak and most of the time even an extra wash.
