Monogram - great looks, poor quality and function

Piece of garbage. It feels like a luxury appliance wannabe. They got the looks right but function sucks. Died in 4 years. Oven never gave proper results. It ended up being glorified microwave and toaster while it lasted. Overall, quite disappointed in monogram as a brand. Expected better from GE.

I had monogram series appliances installed in a new home build. One would expect a superior product, but this microwave has been a problem since the beginning. The first problem involved the display and connectivity (going offline, frozen display) which was repaired with new components. Connectivity issues return anyway, so I just decided to avoid trying to connect with the app. Next, just after the 2 year warranty ended, the turntable stopped turning. I discovered that the turntable shaft broke! It's a pink plastic gear that turns the table. I found the part at geapplianceparts.com and it is listed "out of stock." I called customer help and the tech said it would be another month before it is available. She said I can't be on a waiting list for the part; I have to keep checking back. She also suggested going to Lowe's to see if they carry the part. I can only suppose that it is out-of-stock because it breaks so often! If you have this unit, you can count on having to replace this part every 2.5 years at a cost of $40 each time if you do the repair yourself. I'm thinking I should buy several of these, which is what others have likely thought, which is also why they are out of stock. Also, the piece that broke remains inside the microwave interior. I wonder how many pieces of broken plastic it can hold over the years? Why are the most modern appliances so shoddy? It also makes me think that they find out during appliance testing that a part fails at 3 years, so they make their warranty for 2 years. All this consumes precious time.

Not the Premium Experience I Expected from Monogra

I purchased the full range of Monogram products, but within a year, the all-in-one microwave began developing issues. The display screen flickers, becomes unresponsive, and the unit occasionally emits sparks. My service request experience was extremely disappointing, making me question whether investing in multiple Monogram products was the right decision. In addition, the Monogram air fryer oven has its own set of problems. Overall, the reliability and service quality have not met the standards expected from a premium brand.

This GE Cafe Mongram collection is a game changer! Functionality is superb, the precision cooking feature in particular on speed oven makes cooking to perfection a breeze, and I love the aesthetic and functionality of induction cooktop. I™€™m still learning all of the WiFI capabilities via app, but find it intuitive/easy to use. Excellent design and size. Such a step up from my old Viking range and Refrigerator!!

Randomly, this microwave oven locks up and fails to respond to the touch screen. The only way to get it working again is to go down in the basement, access the breaker panel and turn off the power for a while. I certainly do not see any reason except possibly, the software has a bug. I tried to get service through my extended warranty but they say as long as I can 'reset' the unit, it is like a computer or phone and they will not cover it even though I have to access the main electric panel for the house.

It has frozen a couple times, which required shutting down power at the circuit breaker. Hoping that doesn't become a regular occurrence. I paid a premium for this model because I thought it was made in the USA, but the box said it's made in China.

First, the appliance was a replacement. It was supposed to be the exact dimension as it's previous model. It isn't. GE has a guarantee "fit" for many models but not for monogram which seems odd since it is the most expensive. We are watching. The screen has frozen and the only way to fix it was to turn the breaker off and back on to reset it. Otherwise, the functions seem to operate as designed.

I could not regret buying GE Monogram more! We built a new house less than a year ago and bought all GE Monogram appliances and have had problems with almost every appliance. We have also had a horrible times finding parts and people to work on them. The customer service has also been bad. I would not buy or recommend GE Monogram.

It™€™s feature rich but one of the features I want to use most often lacks greatly. As a microwave and oven it seems to work great, but as a toaster it fails. It™€™s wildly uneven if there are multiple items in the oven and even with a single piece of bread it™€™s finicky. May have to de-buy a normal toaster oven which is what we were trying to avoid.

I really liked my double ovens. After a year, I decided to put my Advantium on-line. I really hesitated because I figured that would ruin my experience. I expected it would auto configure all the time and I'd need to spend time learning and finding things I already knew. I expected that there would be software glitches that would ruin my experience and waste my time. So, I decided to only put the microwave on-line and not both it and my oven. I always say - just because you're paranoid doesn't mean your wrong... I really regret putting the microwave on line. It auto changes the interface. Now I have software glitches and it's unusable. So, predictable. So glad I didn't do this with the oven too. No coffee this morning due to the glitch. Not sure I can cook dinner tomorrow. Not sure how much time I will need to spend talking to people on line to fix this and waiting for the support staff, or how many call backs there will be.... Ugh

Within 1 week of using the interior glass shattered. We now have to wait 2 weeks for a replacement. Since this oven is a microwave and toaster, we got rid of those things. So now we cannot cook for 2 weeks. The oven also has gotten very dirty in just a week and no cleaning products work to clean it. Very unhappy given the high cost of this item.

I was a bit surprised when I heard the kenitron tube cycling on and off when choosing a power level less than 100%. I thought the actual power level was supposed to change. Seems like old technology to me. Recipe menu is a bit disappointing and cumbersome. Programs are limited at best. I do love how large it is and how well the convection oven works.

Beautiful product and display. Background display changes like a computer screen saver and displays the time and weather. The functionality and controls can be synced to your phone, which is really neat! The cooking is fast, efficient, and fun to watch. Everything I have made in it so far has been great. Casserole under speed cook perfectly browned the cheese. Nachos with multiple toppings option worked so well. Frozen chicken tenders perfectly crisp in 3 minutes. Frozen pizza done in 9 minutes, and all of these settings and times are preset and perfected under speed cook. The microwave, oven, and crisp/reheat functions are also awesome. You can do so much with this piece!
